Peer review is a process in which an author's work (e.g. a research article) is evaluated by people who are experts on the subject. With this process we aim to: <\/p>\n

  1. Determine whether the research was performed and explained correctly in the article <\/li>\n
  2. Help authors improve their work<\/li>\n

    Each manuscript submitted to Ledizioni is first evaluated by the publishing house's editorial team with regards to its relevance to the catalogue, the editorial style and the amount of editorial work to make the manuscript a book that meets our quality standards.<\/p>

    Once this first validation phase has been passed, the manuscript is sent to the validation process peer-review double blind<\/strong>. Il manoscritto, reso anonimo, viene inviato al comitato scientifico di una collana specifica o della disciplina di riferimento, che effettuer\u00e0 la revisione o indicher\u00e0 i nomi dei due revisori esterni a cui affidare la revisione stessa. Il loro responso consiste in una scheda di rilevazione, in cui viene valutata la qualit\u00e0 scientifica, l\u2019originalit\u00e0 della trattazione, la chiarezza espositiva e vengono indicate eventuali modifiche, integrazioni o correzioni da effettuare.
    The names of the heads of the series and area scientific committees, as well as the names of the external reviewers who provided their work, are published on the Ledizioni website.<\/p>

    In the case of two positive answers<\/b><\/i>, the manuscript, after making any recommended changes, which is checked by the Ledizioni editorial team, will be edited by the same editorial team and then published.<\/p>

    In case of a positive and a negative answer<\/b><\/i> il manoscritto viene o direttamente rifiutato, in base alle motivazioni espresse, o inviato ad un terzo revisore, il cui parere sar\u00e0 decisivo.
    In case of both negative opinions, the manuscript is obviously rejected.
    As a sign of gratitude for the work carried out, free volumes from the Ledizioni catalog are offered to the reviewers.<\/p>
