About Us

A brief history

Ledizioni has been founded in 2008 by Eleonora Weihs and Nicola and Lorenzo Cavalli, respectively daughter and grandchildren of Ingo Weihs, an actor and cultured intellectual of Austrian nationality and founder of the Libreria Ledi – Libreria Editrice D’Italia – in 1935.

What we like to do

Ledizioni resumes the editorial activity of L.E.D.I. interrupted after the war with the aim of publishing and distributing high quality scientific nonfiction, in Italian and foreign languages and to reprint out-of-print works in all available formats.
We value the infinite possibilities of digital publishing, of print on demand and the different forms of publication and dissemination of knowledge such as open access publishing (Open Access).

A young and innovative organization but with great experience

Over the years, innovative solutions have been launched, such as the platform LediJournals for the management of the entire creation and dissemination process of academic journals, both in Open Access and by subscription, LediBooks, the platform for the publication of monographs in the innovative "Web Book" format. In 2019, the site dedicated entirely to publications in English and other languages, called Ledipublishing.

Ledizioni wants to be a "publisher for authors" as it offers the possibility of publishing articles, essays and academic and scientific works through their production in paper and/or digital publishing (EBook, Print On Demand) and their diffusion on traditional channels and national and international internet channels.
