Riccardi is a PhD student in Gender Studies at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, where she conducts sociological research on cultural processes for social and labour inclusion in Southern Italy. Her interests focus on migration, human rights and social justice, with an intersectional approach that intertwines gender and public policy.
