Ugo Tramballi is ISPI Senior Advisor in charge of the Institute’s India Desk. He joined the Metropolitan section of “Il Giornale” in 1976; Middle East correspondent in Beirut from 1983 to 1987, war correspondences from Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, extensive coverage of India and Pakistan. Moscow correspondent from 1987 to 1991. Global correspondent and columnist with the Economic newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore. He covered the Middle East peace process, India’s reforms, South Africa transition, China rise, globalisation and World Politics, the World after 9/11, Uprisings in the Middle East, Financial crisis and populism. Member of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), Centro per la Pace in Medio Oriente (CIPMO) and World Economic Forum’s Media Leader.
