Nunzia Borrelli is Assistant Professor at University of Milano. She received bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Naples – Federico II, Italy. She also completed a Master’s degree in Urban Management at Domus Academy in Milan, and she finished the MA Planning policy for city, territory and environment at IUAV – Venice. In 2005 she obtained the Ph.D. in Spatial Planning and Local Development, at Turin Polytechnic. Since completing Ph.D., she has both taught and been involved in various research activities. She conduced field projects pertaining to local development, food system, governance processes, cultural heritage, and ecomuseums in Italy, UK, USA and China. She was visiting scholar at Loyola University of Chicago as fulbrighter; at Portland State University, at Portland State University, University of Newcastle upon tyne; and at Xiamen (China). She have published several papers and three books.
